japanese food fair.

Went to 1U earlier for dinner at Chili's and saw that they have this Japanese Food Fair going on in the center court. Can't resist to sink my teeth into awesome goodness of miso soup, corn + wine candies, baked scallops, and some (a lot of) yummilicious tit-bits, so I just bought whatever that I like. The total bill ranked up to about 70MYR.

Am so broke.

But still... I'm caving for that CALPIS SODA. Ugh. Should've grabbed that along.

four places.

Went to 1U, The Curve, IKANO and IKEA today; four places in maybe 4 hours. A pretty amazing feat I'd say, though we went to 1U just to drop off Rainbow for his grooming in the first place before heading over to The Curve for dinner and shopping. Heh. I actually wanted to go for Penang food but it seems like my sister doesn't so we ended up at Sakae Sushi instead. We prefer Sushi Zanmai to Sakae Sushi but what to do, there's no Sushi Zanmai in The Curve! The only thing I like about Sakae Sushi is when you can personally order your food through the computer. It's fun, in a way. So... food piccas anyone? ;)

Soft shell crab. Yummmmm.

Ebikko sushi.

My Kinoko Soba (mushroom soba)

Teriyaki Chicken Ramen

Kappa maki

Mum paid for the bill, in the end. I feel bad. Not really. I'm kinda broke because I bought this from BORDERS:

79.90MYR for three. Bundle price. Cheap? Not really but I bought it on impulse all because of the covers. So shinyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Okay.

I wonder when I'm gonna finish reading all three. Probably a few months? Haha. Reading pace has been going really slow lately, like a snail. But I like books by Jodi Picoult. I actually wanted to buy the other one titled 'My Sister's Keeper' which had been made into a movie but it's sold out. -sadface- These three will do for now. Heh.

I'd like to write more about my shopping experiences at IKEA and IKANO but meh, just the same old story. Walked around, browsed around and that's it. Though mum bought a few stuffs from IKEA and I bought myself some compartment separators for my new wardrobe which costs 39.90MYR. So expensive but so useful. -sweatdrops-

din tai fung 2 & laptop shopping.

On Saturday, we went to MidValley with the intention to help my sister to buy herself a new laptop. Dell, she wants, so we bought my brother along because he's the tech-savvy one in the family as usual. We planned to have dinner at the food court, buy the laptop, walk around and then go home. What we didn't expect was a super huge existing crowd in MidValley itself due to break fast because it's 7PM already when we arrived. This is the first time I've seen a sea of people this huge that it feels even hard and tiring to walk around. The good mood I was in, was washed away after a while.

Because of the super big crowd at the food court, we couldn't find any tables and decided that no, we don't want to dine in there. We're gonna dine somewhere were people are scarce which is like, impossible because it's a Saturday. The only option we have is non-halal outlets. So we walked around deciding where to go. At first, we were queuing up for ZEN Sushi but when it was our turn, me and my sister decided that we don't want sushi. So, we moved to the back and got in line for Din Tai Fung instead. Talk about indecisiveness. The queue for Din Tai Fung was long too, and we had to wait for like, 20 minutes until it's our turn. We were given a number and was told to wait, and while waiting, we get to order what we want with the order chit.

There were teas for us to drink while waiting too. Ah, good service. Plus, there's this cool Taiwanese (we assume she is by the way she talk and her foreign face) waitress who's serving us outside so it's not that bad. Heh. Once inside, the food arrived quickly. We ordered a lot of stuffs since it's my parents first time there and I managed to take piccas before they dig in. Here's most of them, the only one missing are the aromatic teas.

Cold drunken chicken. This is reeeeeeally good!!

My sister's pickled vegetable la mien (ramen). I had this last time.

Combo B Part 1: Xiao long bao. Very delicious!

My chicken soup la mien. Not bad, though the soup tastes a bit bland.

Mom's prawn wanton soup la mien.

Mango pudding with raw milk. Love it. It tastes like Japanese Konyaku.

Dad's pork chop la mien.

Garlic stirred fry vegetables.

Combo B Part 2: Prawn and Pork Dumplings.

My brother's pork chop fried rice was the last to arrive. Haha.

All in all, the whole meal was satisfying and summed up to about 150MYR, which means 30MYR per person. The price was a bit hefty but we're all foodies so it's okay. We like trying out new foods anyway. -lol- By the way, the uniforms in DTF looks quite nice. I wish I could wear that once.

Also, my sister didn't manage to buy her laptop in the end because my brother remembered that he has a friend who works in a computer shop who's willing to send him a list of refurbished laptops on demand. Since my sister wants to save a little, she decided to wait for the list. While me, on the other hand, is deciding whether I should be buying myself a MacBook or a Dell. Hmmm.

shitty service at secret recipe, midvalley

Spent Sunday lazing around and headed over to MidValley for lunch. W is working today so we only managed to shop around until 16:00. I wore my new Charles&Keith shoes and that bling bling shirt I got from Kitschen on Saturday while I went shopping with my sister (using her credit card). Crazy loving those shoes even though they gave me four painful blisters on my feet. And because they hurt so much while I walk, I resorted to buying those gel pads thingy at Watsons and stick them on outside the toilet. -lol-

We went to Secret Recipe (again) for lunch and yes, I have to complain that the service crew at MidValley's Secret Recipe sucks like hell. When I say sucks like hell, it sucks like hell. There were around six staffs working in that small area and yet, when you call out to them, none of them hears! You have to like, wave around like a crazy monkey and shout out to them for them to come over with a sourly face and take your orders like we owe them their family's lives. I'm so tempted to write a review to the Star and complain about it so that everyone can agree with me. Plus, there's this sign right at the entrance that says 'Please wait for us to seat you' and yet, after you've waited for 15 minutes, none of them came over to guide us even though there are empty tables available inside. Really shitty service they have. No smiles, nothing. Not even respect for customers. What a bunch of fucking monkeys (sorry, just gotta say that).

Phew.

Okay... so, chill. I swear I'm never going back to that restaurant ever again, at least that MidValley's one. If it's not because W wanted to have their Sarawak Laksa, I'm not going to step a foot into it anyway. I wanted to try out DÔME Café, but W doesn't want to. So I'm stuck with Secret Recipe and their shitty service.

But still, managed to take some piccas because I'm such a foodie. -keke-

My spaghetti bolognese (which wasn't that nice probably because I wasn't in the best of mood).

Their Sarawak Laksa still tastes good despite the sucky service.

Parents didn't come over last weekend so I spent the weekend doing nothing the whole day when W was out for work. Ah, weekends. Who doesn't love them? ♥

wed = pink day

W fetched me to and off work today even though W was really sleepy this morning. It makes me happy to know that W is willing to do this kind of thing for me. Simple gestures from your loved ones really will make someone happy, I guess. It shows that W cares. -smiles-

So, after work, we went to 1U for dinner. We racked our brains thinking of where to eat - Shihlin's Taiwan Street Snack, Nando's, Sushi Zanmai, Charms Cafe, Chili's, etc. The problem with youngsters nowadays are that there's too many selections to choose from. Back in my mum's younger days, they have so few. Finally, after walking around aimlessly for a whole thirty minutes, W decides that macaroni would be great. I suggested Secret Recipe and the next thing I know, we're seated down in there and I'm happily digging away into my Mushroom and Prawn Macaroni Pasta while W attacks the bowl of Sarawak Laksa. -lol-

Halfway through, W said that we should be having Old Klang Road's Bak Kut Teh (pork ribs tea/herbal soup) instead because we've been planning to have that since last week. Then, W said that we shall head over to OKR after our shopping so that our bak kut teh cravings can be satisfied. What a pig.

Anyway, I told W that we'll see about that and then we went over to this watch shop to oh-and-ahhs over the ODMs on display. W wanted to buy the limited edition of bloc which costs 369MYR and then decided against it because I said that it's not worth it. -smirks

We left the shop and then passed by Baskin Robbin and saw their bunting which says Wed = Pink Day. I was wearing my pink polka dot spaghetti straps that day and yes, it's fated that we shall have Baskin Robbin's Double Jr. Scoop for the price of a single scoop! It's only 7.90MYR!! -evil laughs- So, we ordered one and shared it because really, I have no sweet tooth at all. Yep, not a single one.

Our Mint Chocolate Chip and Cookies and Cream ice cream. Yummm ♥ ♥

After ice cream, we went to Petsmore and we brought Kiki out. -lol- Damn funny to see W walking around with a blue colored hamster transporter. I bet Kiki must be scared to see the outside world. Heh. So cuteeeeee.

Oh, by the way, W got a hairdo makeover today at only 100MYR including bleaching and coloring at Maxwell. Damn cheap. And they do cool cuts with pretty colors, too. W's hair is now ash green in color, which is actually my previous hair color before I got my black blue done. Heh. Cool eh?

shopping at sunway with sis

As the title says.

Doris with her curry don at Kim Gary

My lunch set: Garlic prok chop with rice, borsch soup and HK tea ♥

Reached there at 1PM and got led down the a very unflattering carpark area and then called my sister for help. She found me 5 minutes later and lead me back to a safer place. Funny, right? Anyway, while we were there, we tried on a lot of clothes from Nichii and Kitschen, browsed for skin care at Skin Food and bought mum her aloe vera facial foam. Then loitered around and looked for LG Lolipop again. My sister is eager to buy that cute phone and she's settling for grey color, will buy it once her salary is out next month. I can't wait to camwhore with her new phone. Heh.

Our last activity for the day is to buy cooking ingredients so that she can cook for herself and my brother for the next few days. I want dinner! -cries- She actually planned to buy baking ingredients too but Giant ran out of chocolate chips so we ended up not buying any. I want cookies! -sadface-

I'm hungry. I just remembered that I should be buying myself a new pair of contacts. The current one I'm wearing expires on the 15th this month. Four more days to go. And I'm just too lazy to move my arse over there for an eye checkup. Maybe tomorrow. I just hope that they can like, do speedy ordering and delivery to me within say, 3 days?

LOL.

Work's tomorrow. Blergh.

shogun, skin food & kiki's new home

It's shopping day today! -excited- I wanna go shopping! And because I'm so keen on going out to shop today, I woke Wabbit up at around 11:00 and we went to 1U for lunch and of course, shopping. -grins-

I have no idea how our plan to have cheap and nice food got 'sabotaged' and we ended up eating SHOGUN instead. No, wait a sec. Actually I do know why... because they're having a 25% discount for lunch to celebrate their 10th year anniversary! -squeals- Really, to be honest, I prefer Shogun over Jogoya. Haha. No, don't ask me why. Anyway, after a discount of 25% we get to eat for 38.10MYR per person. Quite a cheap offer because usually they charge about 55MYR per head if I remember correctly (been there, ate that). And because Wabbit has never been to Shogun before, so I practically dragged her in for lunch. Ngek.

There were so many dishes to choose from and I was practically drooling on my plate when I saw them. And guess what Wabbit said?

"Too many to choose ler... Don't know what to eat."

Alaaaa.... everyone says that every time they go for Japanese buffet, right? Heh. But the thing is, because there are too many selections to choose from, Wabbit lost her appetite instead. -faints- What? Now you're saying you don't wanna eat? -piakpiakpiak- So... I (literally) forced food down her throat and then, she had a stomachache. -damn sweat-

Cis. Potong betul.

But I'm not going to let her affect my big appetite. So I attacked every single dish except for the porcupine buns that I so badly wanted and of course, slices of beef. -cries- Why can't I have all of them? So sad. Anyhow, pictures pictures. Only managed to take very little because I'm lazy just like that and plus, who can resist so much food? -grins-

Her first time in Shogun. Must take pic as memories ♥

My favorite sashimis: Salmon, spicy salmon, white tuna ♥

Supa tiny & cute green tea cake ♥

There. Just three piccies. -hides- I told you I was being a pig!

After Shogun, we went to Petsmore and stared at super cute puppies wishing they're all mine, mine, mine. I'm so gonna buy a Shih Tzu or Toy Poodle when I have the monies! -save, save, save- And because I can't have any puppies yet, I resort to letting Wabbit buy a hamster and keep it as our pet. His name is Kiki; he's smart like that because he knows how to control his exercise ball as a vehicle and rolls to my feet whenever I call out to him for dinner. -much love for Kiki-

So... because Kiki is so smart and we both love this furball to death, Wabbit decided to expand his home again. -sighs- It's just a hamster, baby. Why the fuss? But lookie, lookie! We bought a new cage and had fun assembling it creatively!

The masterplan for the new house.

The finished house (Phase 1).

Finished house (Phase 2).

It's my brand. Mint, get it? Lol.

Kiki behind the wheels. Awww. Cute? ♥♥♥♥

Kiki enjoying his bath inside the huge sand toilet.

All I can say is, Kiki is one hecka lucky furball. -shakes head- Wabbit treats him like a king! Heh. Or in maybe, prince? Since Kiki is so small and all. -lol-

Anyways, after Petsmore, we went window shopping around and ended up in Skin Food (my favorite shop of all) again. I bought a tube of Black Sugar Foam Scrub (♥!)because I ran out of facial foam and I've heard really good reviews from people and in forums. My mom bought it first and I've tried it once and thought that it's kinda special and cute the way the black sugar melts while you're scrubbing it, that's why I bought it. -grins- I also bought their Banana Long-lash Curl Mascara (♥!)because I miss having thick lashes and looking purrrttty. I used to use it and believe me, it's really good. It smells really good, too. -raises eyebrow- Ohh, banana!

I love bananas. -winks-

And ABC soup. With white rice. Or pasta. So, that's what I had for dinner. Yum, yum, yum. Oh, I just looooooove my life (for now). Aye, back to watching 'Hi! My Sweetheart' nao. I ship Shonie, did I ever write that in here? -laughs- Now you know.

i'm tired

I'm tired. And I'm so stressful that I jump at the slightest sound of cars rolling by thinking that it's Ethan, my housemate. Reason being Putih Car Angelababy is currently parked at his lot just right below my room. And reason why I parked there is because I'm so fucking tired I could die. Gah. I need a parking bay! -pulls hair-

I'm really tired, I'm repeating myself, I know. Went for dinner at Kismat with Karen, Ai Ling and Deric. Had the spiciest indomee I've ever tasted in my entire life. Will never, I repeat, never go back there and have their indomee ever again. My mouth was practically burning while and after I ate. Rawr. My colleagues had organized a badminton session and the three of them joined. I didn't because I'm tired and my right shoulder blade is still hurting. I'm still under medication for having shingles (had it because of stress) last week. -cries- I went home right after dinner because Esther turned me down for a date at 1U. I need to get my eyebrows trimmed and threaded. Buy mascaras, eyeliners and pencils for my make-up. I'm a girl, just in case you've just realized that. There.

Anyways, despite being tired and almost wanting to just die on my bed (or inside my car) right then and there, I decided to clean my room (sweep and mop the super dirty floor, you won't believe how dusty it is) and wash the bathroom (now, you reeeeally won't believe how dirty it is. There are even fungus on the shower walls and I can't even find a fucking pair of gloves anywhere in the house) as well while I'm at it.

Scrub, scrub, scrubbity scrub.

My hand fucking hurts from all the scrubbing. I think I need to charge 20MYR for every time I clean the bathroom. No one else washes it! Wtf? Do I look like a maid to them? -seethes- I'm so tired, but I still need to apply lotion to my whole body. My skin has gone red from all that vigorous scrubbing.

Ah, I'm so tired. I need to close my eyes and sleep (but I can't help typing in here). By the way, I managed to take a picture of my new pair of shoes that I bought yesterday from Sherberry. Here is it:

Cute huh? But I'm doubting whether it'll go well with my CNY cheongsam or not. -sighs- If it doesn't fit, I'll just give it to my sister. Anything cute and girly will definitely look good on her. Hah.

I'm so tiredddddddddd. But I still need to go down and park my car somewhere else before Ethan comes home. -is stressed- I still have plenty to blog about but really, I'm too tired to recall them. Part of my brain has fallen asleep by itself and my back hurts like hell right now. And Wabbit doesn't even want to help me massage them even for just a few minutes. -sighs- Can I have someone to massage them for me without paying? Heh.

Okay, I'm fainting soon. Really tired. I need to sleep early tonight while I think it's impossible. -looks at clock- It's 23:22 now. Fuck.

By the way, I wonder how many times I've said 'I'm tired' today?

delicious, speakers. yum

I ffk-ed Karen and Cindy today after I've sorta promised to go shopping for CNY clothes with them. I need to defend myself though. Who will arrive in the wee hours of the morning for shopping anyway? I need my beauty sleep! -runs- The scheduled time was 10:00 actually. I don't know when they arrived but I arrived there around 14:00 and that was when Karen and friends had practically walked a third quarter of 1U, I think?

BUT! I went to 1U nonetheless with Wabbit (who tagged along despite being sick) in the end because she wanted to buy gifts for her parents. We pigged out at Delicious right after we arrived and ordered spaghettini. This is my fourth time being there and I'm still madly in love with their Iced Peach Tea. -loves- She had Crabmeat Tomyam Spaghettini while I had Duck Spaghettini (photos below).

My dish was so-so. When I said so-so, I meant not that good. I had to take mine with tabasco sauce, imagine that. Blergh. Bad choice of ordering. On the other hand, Wabbit's was delicious. I should've stick to Carbonara instead. -pouts-

After finishing at around 16:00, I texted Karen and she called me an hour after telling me that she's heading home soon. So we ended up not meeting up even though we were in the same place. -laughs- So I walked around with Wabbit and then I bought a pair of shoes! I saw it and Wabbit saw it and we both said that it looks pretty at the same time so I bought it. Seldom had we agree on the same thing, you know. The platform shoes is vintage-styled with red flowers on it. I liked it a lot but when I walked in it, it sort of hurt my toes a lil'. Oh well, I bought it anyway. -shrugs- I wanted to take pics and post them up but I'm a pig so, nah. Heh.

Then, we went to the petshop near ColdStorage and I played with a baby pomeranian! Just 2 months old and it's like so damn freaking cute that I wanted to bite it. -squeals- And then, my sister MMSed me pictures of our new German Shepherd dog that my grandma gave to us and I just melted. So cute!! And guess what we named her?

Say hello to CASH! -lol- We sounded very materialistic, right? We're money lovers! I can already imagine me going home for CNY and calling, "C'mere Cash! C'mere!". It'll be so funny and I'll play with her every day. Let's hope she'll like me, too. -grins- I can't wait to be home now. Ish.

It seems like recently there are a lot of pets appearing in my life. I haven't had the time to post up pictures of Wabbit's new pet hamster, Kiki yet though. -smiles- Cute furball. Especially when he's placed into the exercise ball and can be seen rolling around my room like a cute orange ball.

By the way, I wanted to post this up:

Saw this paws-perity cat in 1U. Cute, cute, cute. And this:

CNY Stickies @ Sticky! I want them! I want a mixed jar!! Wabbit said to buy me a jar but we kind of forgot about it after we went to the shop beside Sticky to buy speakers. Yep, my V-day present! -beams- She bought me a Sonic Gear Evo 7. It's 169MYR and I paid 70MYR for it. Wabbit paid the rest. Though it's different from all my previous V-day presents experiences but it's the thought that counts, right? -ponders- But I still love it to bits. Nice bass. Sleek design and it's... black. I wanted white to match my desktop since mine's all white and silver but they ran out of stock so I took the black one.

It's 01:40. No matter how awake I feel, I should sleep. There's work tomorrow and my right shoulder freaking hurts. And Wabbit doesn't want to help me massage them. -cries-
