japanese food fair.

Went to 1U earlier for dinner at Chili's and saw that they have this Japanese Food Fair going on in the center court. Can't resist to sink my teeth into awesome goodness of miso soup, corn + wine candies, baked scallops, and some (a lot of) yummilicious tit-bits, so I just bought whatever that I like. The total bill ranked up to about 70MYR.

Am so broke.

But still... I'm caving for that CALPIS SODA. Ugh. Should've grabbed that along.

new hair color + mp restaurant.

Journeyed back to Ipoh early in the morning because we've made an appointment with our family hair stylists. Can't decide whether I'd like to have my hair colored or not, but in the end, I did. Went from blackjet to chestnut brown. Latest pic:

New hair color. Nice?

Brother suddenly (no, it's actually planned) decided to treat us to dinner because he's just gotten his first month salary so yeah, let's ode to that! Heh. Dad wanted to try dining at MP Steamboat which has been around for like a quarter of a century (I lied) and serves fusion foods so bro drove us all there. Atmosphere in there is okay, not too posh or anything, just better-than-your-average steamboat restaurant. The price is sky high so we didn't have steamboat. We settled for ala-carte which consists of mainly western. Not gonna comment much and gonna let my piccas do all the talking, aight?

Main entrance.

Good ambience.

Serviette with lots of info on it.

The menu cover.

One of the pages in the menu.

Carrot, apple and the Giant Mixed Fruit Juice.

My Tagliatte Al Turkey.

Brother's Black Pepper Chicken Chop.

Dad's BBQ Mixed Grilled Plate.

Sis' Australian Grilled Lamb Chop.

Mum's Seafood Platter.

All in all, the food are all nice, especially the aussie grilled lamb. -drools- We even ordered a second serving for the lamb to be shared among all five of us. My Italian spinach flat noodle is so-so, and I didn't even manage to finish it because I was too full. In the end, I gave it away to my sister and took her grilled lamb. Heh. And the juices... ah, refreshing. I love my dad's carrot juice! The gigantic mixed fruit juice that me, my sister and brother shared wasn't that gigantic at all. Just 750ml, which is not enough for the three of us to drink. -sadface-

Total bill is about 150MYR which divides fairly to about 30MYR per person. Not cheap but not too expensive either. Will definitely go back there again the next time. -lol

Next stop: IPOH BERLIN'S BEER HOUSE!

Must. Go. There.

bow's home-grooming day!

Hi, I'm Pinky from Pink & The Brain. Can you spot the similarity?

After grooming and all dressed up. Handsome? Cute? ♥♥♥

let's fix it.

There's a broken lamp by the stairs at the new house. So, my brother decided to fix it, and then, my father joined in. When my father failed to drill holes into the lamp base, me and my sister jumped in to help my brother instead. -keke-

Here's what we're trying to do. Make another 'lane' in the wood for the wires to fit in.

Them busy drilling and carving. Me, taking piccas. Heh.

This is the so-called lane! We're halfway through! A bit more perhaps?

The leftover woods? Dunno what to call it. Chipped wood?

Brother trying to install the wires into the base.

I climbed up the tall stairs to help... to pose! Lol.

It was hot and sticky outside, luckily, our porch has a fan! Huh. It was a lot of fun to drill and everything but tiring as well. In the end, we managed to carve the lane, get the wires in and installed the whole lamp after almost 2 hours. Happily flipped the switch on but...

THERE'S NO LIGHT.

Checked and checked and found out that it's the wiring problem. So, we still need to call the wireman/technicians in. Aih, wasted our time and energy only! -sadface- But still, it was fun tho. =)♥

sunway giza.

Referring to my previous post, I'm gonna blog about my experience at Sunway Giza today. W bought me to Sunway Giza on Tuesday but I was too lazy to go though after much persuasion from her, I tagged along as well. Bickered a bit on the way there because I kept on complaining of W being a reckless driver and yeah, road blind. We arrived there without entering the parking area because of some 'road flow problems' (hell yeah) and got pissed off when I saw W being so cautious of her new car being stolen. Double steering lock, and triple check on the door handles to make sure they're really locked. Damn sweat.

Anyways, my first impression of Sunway Giza was "Wow?" followed closely by, "OMG, there's a maid beer cafe in here!" because the first thing I saw when I walked in was the lit up fake trees lining up the entrance and then, cute girls in maid costumes. -laughs- I'm so gonna try out the cafe sometime in the future but not now. Probably the next yumcha session with fun people. Heh.

Full House at Sunway Giza practically grabs everyone's attention because of it's lifestyle decors and it's massive signboard which changes colors of rainbow. Very, very pretty. And no, I'm not really impressed because I've been in a few of it's branches before. Nothing new, but they do sell more stuffs in here compared to the one in Sunway Pyramid. I wanted to be seated in but W wants to smoke so we end up sitting outside instead. -sadface- Oh yeah, Full House's waitresses wear maid costumes too but they're not as cute as the beer cafe ones though one particular tall girl with good English did caught my attention. The mentioned waitress took our order, by the way. Lucky.

I ordered Curry Noodle because I was craving for spicy food (I initially wanted to visit the TomYam Restaurant a few shops away but decided against it because I don't want to have anything heaty but in the end... haih) while W ordered their Spaghetti Alfredo. As for drinks, I had myself a glass of Honeydew Milkshake and W had some sort of blackcurrant soda (I can't remember the name). Waiting time for the food and drinks to arrive is quite short. Not bad, or probably because it's a Tuesday night without so many customers.

And because I haven't taken any piccas in ages, I took a few of our food and drinks. So, here are the piccas:

The table promotional menu feat. Full House's family's dad.

W's Spaghetti Alfredo. Yummm

My Curry Noodle. A lot of ingredients are thrown in. Very satisfied.

Our drinks. Sadly, my milkshake turns out to be bubble milk tea.

The champagne grape in W's drink. This tiny jelly-ish fruit is the best
thing ever. When you put it into your mouth, it melts! It's cute. We
were wondering what it was until we went to MBG Fruits and saw it.

The total bill was about 50MYR and when W saw it, she was surprised because according to her, it was cheap. A hidden meaning: Usually when I eat, it's always expensive food! -laughs- After dinner at Full House, we walked around to see some displayed furnitures and I saw this chair that I really liked. The picture is with W so I'm gonna upload after I take it from her phone. I so wanted to buy it but, I think it'll cost a lot. -cries- But it was so perfect for my new room. The color scheme fits perfectly! -sad- It's white and red, by the way.

After some furniture browsing, we walked around aimlessly and discovered a beer cafe names BOLA. According to my friend, the beer cafe was opened just in time to celebrate World Cup 2010. Cool, eh? There's a lot of new shops around and also, bedsheets! With discounts! I don't know why but I really like to buy bed sheets. I've dragged W to choose bedsheets with me when suddenly, out of nowhere, a cute TB came over and tell us about the discounts. Ah, love her hair. I wish W would cut it like that but she likes to shave her sides which I really hate. -hmph- If you're reading this, please let your hair grow longer!! Ah, that did it.

Sorry for being random but, I think I need sleep. G'nite.

jing ye + cyndi fever.

I think I'm obsessed. Srsly. If thing wish about meeting up with Jing Ye in my dreams don't stop soon, I don't know what will happen. Or maybe it's not as serious as I'm telling it; maybe I'm just overly anticipating her new album [The Opposite Me] to be out together with her new MV which will feature Cyndi Wang as the lead female in it. ZOMG.

Zhang Yun Jing + Cyndi Wang = CUTE ♥♥

Zhang Yun Jing + Cyndi Wang = SMEXI ♥

Oops. Sorry, I don't go into obsessive fangirl often, at least not since DBSK has sort of disbanded but really, I can't help it when I see two of my idols get together to do something something. Now I'm like, praying to all deities out there that there's actually something going on between the two. -goes crazy- I mean, they look so good together! Plus, Jing Ye is one year older than Cyndi so... yeah. -flails-

I totally can't wait for the MV to be out. Though from what I read, there won't be much interaction or scenes between them. -sigh-

Dear god, give me some JingDi pls?

apple puffs.

Baked some (eight, to be exact) apple puff pastries with sis today.
Tastes even better than McD's Apple Pie. -grins- ♥

big day outing.

It's my birthday today. Wabbit and I both took AL so that we could celebrate my birthday together. How very sweet of baby. -smiles- Anyways, we planned to head up to Genting at first, or maybe Malacca but it didn't work out because we both slept in late until afternoon. By the time we've gotten ourselves ready, half of the day was already gone. -lol- So, in the end we went to MidValley instead and had KFC for lunch. Poor me, only get to eat KFC on my big day. -sadface- But still, quite happy because it's Wabbit's treat. I rarely get treated by W anymore because we've come to terms about not spending extra money on each other except on special occasions. A simpler way to put it: So that we both won't be a loss party when the dreaded split really happens. It's a fair thing. Like what Karen said, A-A system. -haha-

Anyway, we loitered (yes, loitered) at Starbucks and bought ourselves two Mocha Frappucino, sat outside reading The Sun's Wednesday newspaper before walking around the mall aimlessly until 7PM. I so wanted to buy myself another wig that I saw in this one accessory shop. It's a mid-length bob wig and I bet it'll look fine if I put it on but Wabbit is like, 101% against me buying it. So I sulked all the way until we're out of the parking lot. Argued a bit with Wabbit in MPH (I want to buy Lovely Bones!) earlier and argued again when I wanted to go down to KL for dinner and W disagreed. We went to 1U's CHARMS in the end for dinner. -smiles- Pics, anyone?

My chinese tea and W's iced water.

W's Sotong Kangkung. Nice.

W's Omelette 'Lo Shu Fun'.

My Lamb Charmer

I'm like, so in love with their Lamb Charmer no matter how many times I've had it. The first time I had it was when I went out dinner with my family. I remembered my dad ordering it and we shared, brings back memories. That was the only time my family dined at Charms and I don't know why they never went back there the second time. -shrugs-

It was 10PM by the time I finish my last piece of lamb and all the shops around had closed down. Wabbit paid for the bill (thanks, baby) and we went home, but not before W begging me to go over to Brussels for a round of beer. I said no, and made W drove over to 7-11 to buy a bottle of Heineken for us so that we could share while we watch the TVB drama 'The Mysteries of Love'. Lovelovelovelovelove Raymond and Tavia in there! -loves-

Haha, yeah. So, not much celebration this year. It's all the same thing. No grand dinner or lunch, just everyday meals because Wabbit is short of money for the month. Just my luck, but at least I got myself a Fossil wallet from W in advance. Heh. I'm happy enough to say that I'm happy this year, with so many lovely wishes from my friends and family. I think I broke my own record of receiving over 80 birthday wishes this year from all my lovelies. Thank you everyone! -huggles-

Gonna celebrate another birthday party tomorrow in the office. Looking forward to it! -happyhappyjoyjoy-

secret recipe treat.

Mum and dad went back to Ipoh at around four something and I lazed around the house until about seven before my sister came out of her room (finally!) and asked me whether I'd like to have dinner with her and her boyfriend. I said okay and we went over to Sunway Pyramid, because we have no other place to go, and because it's near our house. Debated what to eat before we went there in separate cars (because I'm going to head back to SS17 after) and continued to debate after we arrived. In the end, her boyfriend picked Secret Recipe and we agreed, after much painful decision-making minutes.

I never knew that the branch at Sunway Pyramid has renovated. Proves how long I've not eaten in there. -grins- Anyways, the place was nice. Better than last time I guess and I don't know whether it's me or my imagination but, has the shop expanded or something? -shrugs-

Ordered their Prawn Macaroni with Cheese to share it with my sister, while my sister ordered their mushroom soup. Her boyfriend settled for Tom Yam Goong. After the waitress - I have something to say about her but it's not bad to talk about how bad her facial skin is so I'm not gonna - took our order, we saw the menu stand on the table and spotted this!

The words 'A FREE slice of cake to go with your meal' is smacked right in the middle of the menu and guess what? My sister's boyfriend has a Citibank card! -is happy- We weren't sure at first whether it's really free or there are some requirements to be met in order to claim the cake or something so I asked the waitress about it. And yep, it's free, provided that your single bill is over 40MYR and it's only applicable to cakes. There's some misunderstanding between me and the waitress which goes like this:

Me: Excuse me, may I ask? For this... *points at the menu* we get a cake for free if our bill is over RM40 right?
Waitress: Yeah. But it's only for kids.
Me: *blinks* Only for kids? Oh!
Waitress: Yeah.
Me: We're not kids. But what if I take away for my brother at home?
Waitress: You can choose any cakes over the counter there.
Me: I see... thank you. I'll go after I finish my dinner.
Waitress: OK
Me: *smiles at sis*
Sis: I think what she meant was 'ONLY FOR CAKES'. Not 'KIDS'.
Me: *laughs awkwardly*

There. Srsly. I don't know if it's my hearing or her pronunciation but, ugh. Funny but embarrassing at the same time. Anyhow, our dinner arrived and we gobbled down everything except for the last piece of grass mushroom because the cheese is reacting weirdly in my tummy and I can't swallow any more cheesy food. Managed to take a few pics before the food's gone. Here, piccas for this entry:

My sister with the iced lemon tea aka. TEA TOWERS ♥♥

Her boyfriend's Tom Yam Goong. Heard it's nice.

The boyfriend, wonder if he's constipated.

Our prawn macaroni with cheese. Yummm ♥♥

My sister's boyfriend paid for our dinner. I wanted to pay him back 15MYR but he refused to accept so yeah, I got free dinner again! Yay! -cackles- Still, I'd like to thank him for the food as well as my 1.60MYR bread that he bought for me as breakfast the next morning. Such a nice guy. My sis and you = I APPROVE!!

C'mon, you can bribe me with food anytime, anyday and I'll tell everyone that you're the perfect guy for my sister. -rubs hands gleefully- Srsly. =D>

advanced birthday celebration.

Celebrated my birthday with my family, sister's boyfriend and cousin brother at 1U's Chili's tonight. I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who was there, especially my dearest daddy who paid for the whopping bill. -laughs- I'm really happy tonight. Thank you everyone! -tears-

Anyways, pictures again. It's food of course. -grins-

Mum's Lamb Shoulder ♥♥

Brother's Grilled Lamb ♥♥

Sister's Chicken Portobello something? ♥♥

Dad's Mushroom Jack ♥♥♥♥

Sis' bf's Lamb Shank ♥♥

I absolutely love my birthday dish! -squeals like a fat pig- Love my brother's, mum's and dad's dishes as well. As for my sister's and her boyfriend's, nah, it's okay. -lol- But to be honest, we shouldn't have went there to celebrate. It's a bit too expensive for six people to eat there. Well, at least it is expensive to me. I don't know about the others though. I could've eaten twice at Overseas Restaurant in Ipoh with that single bill from Chili's. -sigh- But still, it's just once a year so yeah, maybe I shouldn't be too calculative.

Anyways, I love you guys!! Especially you, dad! And my mum! Without you two, I wouldn't be celebrating my birthday with everyone today. Thank you. Srsly. -smiles- Aww, I wish I can give everyone a super big bear hug right now but I'm tiny so maybe a big hug will do? Heh.

By the way, where's my birthday present??
Note to self: One year older soon, straighten up your life, babe. Happy advanced birthday, Jasmine! I love you (hey, yourself) ♥♥♥♥

fossil.

Oh wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- -twirls in-

W bought me a FOSSIL wallet as an early birthday present!! -grins like an idiot- So much love, bb. I've been eyeing that design since last year and finally, finally, I have it. I'm so damn frikkin' happy right now. Just transferred everything from the old unlucky (yes, it brings me bad money luck because I become broke every single time after my salary's out) Carlo Rino to this new baby. Call me superstitious, but hey, better safe than sorry. I don't want to really regret it when some mat rempits snatches away my bad luck CR, you know. -grins- I'm so handing back the CR to my mum because it's actually hers in the first place.

Anyways, W bought it for me from The Garden's Fossil after our dinner at MidValley's food court. I had chicken rice by the way. -lol- The wallet costs around 270MYR because it's genuine leather and it has a super lovely vintage design on. Here, details details.
